Save the Environment – Stop Plastic Pollution

The PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) bottle is thus by far the most popular beverage packaging.

Researchers assume that by 2050 more plastics will be swimming in the sea than fish. This means that even more animals will die due to plastic parts being in their stomachs, and more will suffocate on plastic bags. Visualize fish swallowing microplastics instead of plankton. That’s a disaster for our ecosystem, unfortunately not enough people are reducing their use of plastics.

Every second 15’000 plastic bottles are being discarded and the horrific thing is that 80% ends up in landfills. They always say that the world will run out of oil, but why do they keep producing 17 million barrels of oil yearly!

It takes a lot of energy to recycle, because of that only 9.5% of plastic bottles are being recycled, which means it’s too low. Sadly 10% of the bottles will end up in the ocean.

How to Reduce Plastic Bottles

We recommend using a faucet water filtration system, which is the most convenient way in saving waste when it comes to plastic bottles.

Oftentimes, tap water is highly chlorinated, containing more contaminants, making it almost unbearable to drink.

With a faucet water filter you’ll find it much more economical and a lot healthier in the long run.

A plus point is the fact that you will no longer have to carry around heavy packages of water bottles anymore, hahaha…yay. 🙂

We don’t realize how plastics litter the earth and how it affects our environment, feeling guilty while drinking from a plastic bottle is a turning point in making a change. Use as little plastic as possible.

  • The faucet filter provides 320 gallons (1’211 l)
  • It removes lead, fluoride, chlorine and other contaminants
  • Quick switch from filtered water to tap water
  • It’s easy to install
  • ACF filter (Activated Carbon Filter) with high absorption capacity
  • It is a great purchase for the price
  • Water tastes very good
  • High water pressure
  • The filter lasts longer than the competitors

  • The filter will occasionally leak, that happens due to the metallic filter build residue, simply remove the faucet and clean out the residue, also make sure to apply more Teflon tape if needed, a lack of Teflon tape results in leaks as well.

Why Should We Drink Water

Water is important if you want to live a healthy lifestyle, it’s basically our elixir of life. Drinking enough of it can help with preventing obesity along with aiding in a healthy metabolism. Unfortunately nowadays people are not paying enough attention to healthy drinking behaviours, they tend to drink many beverages that are high in carbohydrates/sugars which can result in obesity.

Our brain needs fluid for full performance capacity. Drinking water every day lowers your fatigue and drives your brain to optimal performance, it strengthens your memory and promotes concentration.
  • Detox
The kidney is one of the most important detoxification organs in the human body. It removes harmful substances and acids from the bloodstream and discharges them through urine, as long as your intake of fluids are adequate.
  • Digestion
Water is the best laxative for our body. It washes the damp stool out of the intestine and enables a problem-free excretion. Another reason in avoiding unpleasant constipation.
  • Prevents diseases
Drinking water every day reduces the risk of cancer and heart disease. If you drink enough water instead of soft drinks, you can strengthens your immune system.
  • Prevent headaches
Headaches can also indicate a lack of fluid, it means you’re losing more water than you’re taking in.
  • Skin benefit
Drinking a lot of water has a positive effect on our skin, it will become more clear and smooth.
  • Weight control
Water alone doesn’t burn fat, but it’s better to choose water over soft drinks to cut out unnecessary sugar/carbs. Drinking a glass of water before each meal can help reduce the feeling of hunger causing you to eat less, therefore taking in fewer calories.

“Water is life, and clean water means health” – Audrey Hepburn

We tried many water filters and the Waterdrop 320-Gallon Long-Lasting Water Faucet Filtration System is by far the best one. The water comes out in a better volume than other filters and it is also very easy to switch from filtered to unfiltered water by rotating a smooth lever. We no longer taste the chlorine in our water, especially for coffee and tea drinkers such as ourselves, we can taste the quality along with purity. The result is you cannot beat the price for what you get.

This is very informative and good for everyone to know. I’m so glad you shared this. I noticed about a year ago that the water bottles all over my house were getting out of control and by no means were they all getting into the recycle bin. Most of them ended up in the trash which of course contributes to the pollution of our beautiful world. That’s when I decided to invest in a water cooler and get everyone their own water bottle to use. It’s a godsend. I didn’t opt for the water filter on our sink but found that the water cooler was a much better option because I can get the water I like to drink with it. I will be sharing your post with some of my friends because they don’t believe me when I try to tell them. Maybe this will be an eye opener for them. Thanks for sharing.

    Hi AnnyLe

Living in Southern California, the city of Los Angels has banned the use of plastic grocery bags several years ago. This is designed to reduce the use of plastic that is not bio-degradable. Most plastic bags ended in the water or waste dumping ground.

Water filtration is definitely the way to drink fresh water to get rid of the chlorine taste. If one can afford it he should really buy it.

Interesting article. As an avid recycler, I am astonished at the amount of plastic that is still ending up in our oceans. Given the technology that we now possess, I think it is beyond shameful that we continue to use the ocean as a dumping ground.

It’s sad how much plastic gets tossed on a daily basis. I’m only in my fifties but the world has changed tremendously in this area since I was a child. We drank tap water out of a washable glass, carried a thermos, or used water fountains.

Although I carry a refillable bottle, I refill it out of 1-gallon jugs. I’m not comfortable with the amount of plastic that I toss in the recycling bin each week. Plastics can contaminate our food and drinks with harmful chemicals and even when we recycle there are other issues to consider, like transportation and the pollution it causes.

I will look at the Waterdrop 320-Gallon Long-Lasting Water Faucet Filtration System and see if that will work as a better alternative. Thanks for the information.
