    I know what someone with diabetes has to go through as my father is a diabetic. I have to control his diet strictly as he was hospitalized quite often when his diet was out of control. Sometimes, I feel rather guilty stopping him to eat cakes and snacks. I am really inspired by this post to bake cakes for my father using one of the mentioned substitutes! I am mentally prepared for some trial and error!

    I am also surprised that Luo Han Guo can be used to make into a sweetener! I know that this fruit tastes rather sweet as my mom always boil the fruit with some water whenever I catch a cold. However, I have never thought that it can be used as a sweetener! I have learnt something new!

    I’m diabetic and didn’t realize there were so many sugar alternatives. I’ve tried a few in the past, but never enjoyed the after taste.

    But some of these seem much newer with great possibilities. I especially like the brown sugar substitute. I really miss adding brown sugar to my oatmeal. I grew up doing that and it’s such a comfort food to me.
